TOURNAMENT
RULES & REGULATIONS
1. ALL PLAYERS MUST BE FIREFIGHTERS.
2. All games will be played under C.H.A. rules with the following exceptions:
A) Any offence for INTENT TO INJURE...offender will be ejected from the tournament.
B) MATCH PENALTY...Automatic ejection from the tournament.
C)
A player receiving 4 minor penalties in one
game will be ejected from that game only.
D)
Player to play for ONE TEAM ONLY.
E)
Fights - 5-minute penalty plus ejection from that game.
Further suspensions may be levied by the tournament
committee.

All players must wear a
CSA HELMET & EYE PROTECTION. (Half or full)
Goaltenders must wear a
FACE MASK
& HELMET.
The Executive urges full face protection.
4. The style of play in all games is to be kept as clean &
sportsmanlike as possible with
NO
BODY CONTACT.
5. There will be no change of players once roster is
submitted, (before first game)
Players must play at least
one regular game to qualify
for
the semi-final and final games.

IN ALL GAMES THAT EACH TEAM PLAYS, THE FOLLOWING FORMAT
WILL APPLY;
A) Teams to be ready to play 10 minutes before original
game start time.
B) Games will consist of Two Twenty Minute stop time periods with a flood between periods.

F) If the score is tied at the
end of regulation time, overtime will be played.
G) A sudden death stop time 3
on 3 NHL style format, will be played until a goal is
scored.
H) 2 Points to overtime winner,
1 point for overtime loss.
7. At the end of the 1st three games, if a tie exists between only TWO teams in the standings & they have played each other, the winner of that game will assume the higher position.
If they have
NOT
played each other, the following considerations will
decide the standings:
A) Most wins.
B) Most points.
C
D) Goals For.
E) Fewest goals against.
F) Least penalty minutes.
IF THREE
OR MORE TEAMS ARE TIED IN THE STANDINGS, THE SAME RULES ABOVE
WILL APPLY, EXCEPT THAT GAMES PLAYED BETWEEN ANY OF THESE TEAMS
WILL HAVE NO BEARING ON THE STANDINGS.
